Dear Families,
The holidays are quickly approaching and we would like to kick off the holiday season with Harry R. Hamilton Cares. Beginning on Monday, December 2nd, our students/families are invited to participate in our theme days and if possible, donate food, toys and/or clothing. Last year your generosity was amazing and many families benefited from your kindness.
Holiday Concert:
Each family will receive two tickets for the evening their child is performing. Tickets will be sent home Wednesday, December 4th. If your child is participating on December 10th, their tickets will be red and tickets will be green for December 11th.
We will have a limited number of additional tickets. If you want to request an additional ticket, please send an email to Ms. Brown on Monday, December 9th. Our office is a very busy place- phone calls will not be answered. Requesting a ticket does not guarantee that you will receive one, however, we will do our best.
Families, if you do not need the 2 tickets that will be sent home with your child, please send the extra ticket(s) back to your child’s classroom teacher before December 9th. A reminder, if you have more than one child performing on the same night, your family will only receive 2 tickets.
Front Seat Raffle Ticket:
Winning a front row seat allows families to arrive a few minutes before the concert begins and be guaranteed a perfect view of their child(ren). Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 to be drawn Friday, December 6th. Winners will be contacted by phone shortly after the draw is made. Front row tickets will be sent home with your child on Monday, December 2nd. Additional books of tickets will be available to purchase. These are also colour coded and correspond to the concert night. There will be multiple winners for each night- good luck!
Winter Clothing:
Our weather continues to be unpredictable- some days feel tropical, while others remind us that winter is fast approaching. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for all weather conditions. Sending your child to school with mittens, hats, proper footwear, and winter jackets/pants is important.
Lost and Found:
Our lost and found bin continues to grow, with lots of beautiful unclaimed clothing items. To help ensure that your child’s clothing does not go into the land of the missing, please label all items, including all outdoor gear. During our family conferences we will have lost and found items displayed in the gym- please shop around for your child’s lost clothing.
Family Conferences:
Our P/T Conferences will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 12:30-3:00 and 5:30-7:30. To book an appointment to visit/chat with your child’s classroom teacher, please visit the portal: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Harry_R_Hamilton. Please remember to indicate if the appointment is in person or by phone call. The portal will close on Wednesday, December 4th at noon.
